This was our first excursion off of the ship and boy were we shell shocked! Parts of Italy have absolutely no rules when it comes to driving! No stop lights, circles, right of way...it was just one big mess of people and cars trying to go where ever there was a free spot to move in. Our taxi driver crossed five rows (yes five) of cars that were going left to go right! I had to close my eyes! We did have a fun day out though. We spent a lot of time in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples which has one of the world's best collections of Greek and Roman antiquities, including mosaics, sculptures, gems, glass and silver. We had lunch at this wonderful little pizza place (real Italian pizza!) and had the best pizza we have ever had! Dinner on the boat was a bit interesting...I ordered soup and later found out that it had little squids in it, yuck! We stayed up late and saw the ships theater musical show called "Smile" which we really enjoyed and then went to the midnight buffet.
Here are the pictures from the day (12 pics)...
