Every year Gardner Village has this fun activity where you get to dress up as witches and have a fun night out with your friends. Gardner Village is a really neat little old village where the houses have been turned into little boutiques. So, we dressed up and spent a night of shopping, eating, and dancing with fellow witches...so much fun!

October is going by way to fast!
I love scary movies and I use October as an excuse to watch as many scary movies as I can fit in. This year, I just haven't had the time to watch as many as I want to. If I had to pick one to choose as one of my most favorites, it would be "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". Now, I love bloody movies; the SAW movies are some of my most favorite. But, there is just something about "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" that always creeps me out. Watch out for 3:00am, they will get you!

Diving in Cozumel, Mexico.
Cari and I spent almost everyday in Mexico working on our PADI scuba open water certification and Bob worked on getting his advanced diver certification. Okay, to start off lets clarify...I am extremely claustrophobic! I had to stop an MRI test once because I couldn't breath in the machine. So, I decided to conquer my fears and learn to scuba dive and become certified. The first day in the pool I thought I was going to die! I was so mad that I even thought that I could do this. But, thanks to my VERY patient instructors, by the third day I was feeling like this is something I might actually enjoy. By the end of the week and after four ocean dives, I love diving! While diving we saw large sea turtles, large lobsters and crabs, large eels, nurse sharks, and all kinds of gorgeous fish. I can't wait until our next dive trip. Here are a few pics (20 pics total).
P.S. Don't forget to look at my last post for our other trip to Mexico pics.

Trip to Mexico, Sept 2009
We were lucky enough to get to go to Cozumel, Mexico. We went with our friends Lonnie & Cari, and Katherine & Erik. We took a jeep tour around the island and saw a beautiful beach (Erik and Katherine snorkeled), the Mayan ruins, we took a tequila history tour (who knew that they have a coffee flavored tequila?), and saw a gorgeous light house. The week just flew by and it was time to leave way to soon. Here are a few pics (35 pics total).

Traveling budies
So most of you know by now that I a great group of BFF's that I love to travel with. These are some of the greatest girls in the world and I am so lucky to have them as friends. This year so far we have been to New Orleans and a visit to Texas. We have another trip planned this November to go back to New Orleans to celebrate our birthdays (there are three of us in the group that have November birthdays). We always have so much fun together.

I am really missing England!
I don't know what it is lately, but I sure do miss England. I wrote a post here once about all the things I would miss. Here is my list:
-Bob's family
-Our towns church bells ringing every Wed, Sun, and when someone gets married.
-The people I worked with.
-English TV.
-Little old men in tweed coats riding their bikes along the street, or walking their dogs.
-London.
-Watching little kids in cute English school uniforms file along the sidewalk to school.
-The cathedrals.
-The museums.
-Market Day.
-The slower pace of life, to include all the fabulous tea breaks at work.
-Being so unique in my neighborhood (most of the time).
-Proper English breakfasts.
-Being surrounded by varied accents.
-Sunday roasts.
-Pubs.
-The countryside, just gorgeous.
-Little pheasants and rabbits running all around the fields.
-Ancient houses all over the place.
-Preserved historical buildings.
-Gargoyles.
-Flowers blooming in winter.
-Charity shops.
-Closeness to Europe.
-The cool antique shops.
-Having a different perspective on things going on in the U.S.
-Ghost walks & stories in local pubs, houses, and buildings.
-Smart cars.
-Wonderful bakeries.
I could probably list a lot more. I am really looking forward to going back!
I miss my kids having to wear uniforms!
Bob and his dad at a Liverpool vs Birmingham football game.
The wonderful girls I worked with in England in the special care baby unit.

We loved all the fun castles (okay, the kids got really tired of them).

Fish Lake
We love to go camping and fishing at Fish Lake! It is always nice and cool up there. We have been up there quite a few times already this year. I have to admit that we don't really camp. We have a motor home so it is really "cheat" camping, but we love it!

Second Degree Sunburn
A few weeks ago we went camping to Fish Lake and had a great time. I even caught four fish! Well, I caught more than fish, I caught a sunburn. And, not just any sunburn, a second degree sunburn. It was pure torture! I had to go in everyday for a week to get the skin taken off of my arms and I had bandages on them for two weeks. I have only had the dressings off for three days now. I only have pics of the burns for the first week and a half. They look so much better now! I will have to take a pic later of how much better they look. But, just for your viewing pleasure I will post what they looked like the first week and a half.

4th of July Fun
We had a great 4th of July! We spent the evening at my sister Jaime's house. It was so much fun to just spend time with family. The evening came to a grinding holt though when the cops showed up around 10:30pm to give my cute husband a ticket for using illegal fireworks. The show was great though! I hope you all had a wonderful day too.
